Avery was born 1/18/2010

   I am back!  Sorry I haven't been here.  I am going to try to make it a point to post at least one new post each week.

   Avery Christine Boyer was born 1/18/2010.  That day around 5:30 am I woke up to go to the bathroom and when I went back to bed my water broke!  I just need to say here that it's not a little bit that comes out like I thought.  IT WOULDN'T STOP!  I woke my husband up and we went to the hospital.  They had to start my contractions.  After about 4 hours of pain and I asked about the meds they give to take the edge off.  It was awful.  The room was spinning, I felt like every time I was starting to doze off I couldn't breath and it helped take the edge off of maybe two contractions big deal lol.  I also remember telling my husband my tongue felt like metal in my mouth ... anyways.  After that wore off I got an epidural even though I kept saying I wasn't going to.  So I made the mistake of telling them I was nervous about it, so while I am having the contractions the slowly ask me "Whhhyyy aaaaaarre yyyooou aaaafraid  offf the epidural?"  Guess what, I am not afraid anymore JUST GIVE IT TO ME!!!! I didn't say it out loud.  After the epidural there was no pain at all. Once it was time to push the nurse held one leg and my husband held the other, and we watched the whole thing.  He was excited to cut the cord but the Dr. didn't give him a chance and cut it herself.  I felt bad.   Once I saw her I started crying like crazy.  She was born 6:13 pm.  She is amazing!

Pregnancy Survey 33 weeks

How far along? 33 weeks 5 days

Total weight gain/loss: About 22lbs.

Maternity clothes?: My MIL bought me some really nice sweaters for Christmas and some jeans :)

Sleep: I have been going to bed between 1 and 2 am and wake up non-stop throughout the night.

Best moment this week:  Watching the ultrasound.

Movement: She kicks during the day but goes crazy when a lay down to go to bed.

Food cravings: Chocolate

Gender: Last ultrasound said definitely a girl.

Belly Button in or out? Still kind of in.

What I miss: Being able to bend at the waist and eating what I want.

What I am looking forward to: I just can't wait until she is here :)

Avery's Room

Avery's room is finished ... kind of.  I wanted to have mostly purple things in the room and it is has A TON of pink.  So next week James said we can go out and get more purple stuff for the room.  Here are some pics of what it looks like now.  I am going to get a purple blanket for the chair, change the changing pad cover after I wash it and replace the pink baskets with purple.  Then it will be completely done.

31 weeks

   Wow it has been awhile since I posted anything here.  After the gestational diabetes test I was told I passed, but that I just past.  Then a few days later I got a phone call saying I was borderline and they were going to treat me like I have it.  But after I saw the dietician and my doctor they both told me I definitely have it.  Now after using the meter I know I definitely do.  As long as I stick to the plan I am on my levels are fine, and since I have been they are letting me test only 2 days out of the week instead of everyday.  When I went to the dr. last week it showed that I lost 3 lbs. so they need to make sure that I don't keep losing weight.  I had a dream last night I didn't have a baby bump anymore :(  So anyway it is no fun but I only have 9 weeks left.  I am going to start going to the dr. once a week and I have an u/s scheduled for Thursday.
 
 Our moms and nan gave an awesome baby shower!  I'll post more pics when I get them :)

Time is flying by!  Only 63 days to go!

Furniture and Doctor's Appt.

The big furniture is in Avery's room!

    I went to the Dr. Monday morning because the baby was feeling really low Saturday and Sunday night.  When I called just to make sure it was normal they wanted to check that everything was okay just in case.  When I got there she didn't feel low anymore. They told me if it keeps happening and I don't feel better when I sit that I should go back.  I have my gestational diabetes test and Rhogam shot next Monday.

Katalina Painting

I finished the Katalina painting this week and gave it to James' parents.  They were really happy with it, and that is the most important part.  I always get a little nervous before I give a painting to someone.
